Itinerary:
Day 1 Hong Kong
Transfer via: by air-own arrangement
Upon arrival at Hong Kong airport, be met by local tour guide and transferred to the hotel. Leisure on your own at the rest of the day.
Day 2 Hong Kong / Guilin (B)
Transfer via: by air
We transfer to Hong Kong airport for the flight to Guilin. Pickup at Guilin airport and drive to the hotel.
Day 3 Guilin / Yangshuo (B,L)
Depart from your hotel in the morning. Be transferred to the Zhujiang Pier (about 1 hour drive) for a 4.5 hours wonderful cruise. You will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos,cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Disembark at the one-thousand-year-old town Yangshuo in the afternoon.
Yangshuo, the natural scenery features unique karst hills, crystal water, exquisite stones and intricate caves as well as a cultural historic heritage and folks of diverse customs. At night, have fun on the West Street, don't drink too much to miss tomorrow's program. Or you can go to watch the envening show - Impression Liu Sanjie (optional). The Cormorant fishing show at night is also something new (optional).
Day 4 Yangshuo (B,L)
A morning excursion into the countryside. Pass through beautiful rural scenes: farmers working away in their fields and lovely old stone buildings.
Day 5 Yangshuo / Guilin / Chongqing (B)
Transfer via: by air
Free morning before a flight to Chongqing. Pickup at Chongqing airport and drive to the hotel. Leisure on your own at the rest of the day untill transferred to the pier for boarding your ship for your Yangtze River Cruise.
Days 6-7 Yangtze Cruise (B,L,D)
Cruise the Yangtse in air-conditioned comfort. We pass through the spectacular three gorges section and take daily excursions from the boat.
Day 8 Yichang / Shanghai (B,D)
Transfer via: by air
Disembark and visit the impressive dam site. Transfer to Yichang for our flight to Shanghai where we stay at the famous Peace Hotel situated in the heart of The Bund and with an illustrious history. Evening visit to the famous Acrobatic Show.
Day 9 Shanghai / Xian (B,L)
Transfer via: by overnight train (soft sleeper)
A day tour around Shanghai before we take the overnight express train to Xian, the ancient capital of China. Stay overnight on the train.
Day 10 Xian (B,L)
Be met at Xian railway station and drive to the hotel. Later, a half day tour to a Daoist temple, a Buddhist temple and the magnificent wooden mosque. Free time at the rest of the day to explore further on your own.
Day 11 Xian / Beijing (B,L)
Transfer via: by air
A morning visit to the Terracotta Warriors before we fly to Beijing. Pickup at Beijing airport and drive to the hotel. Leisure on your own at the rest of the day.
The Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
Day 12 Beijing (B,L)
Visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven.
Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.
Day 13 Beijing (B,D)
A free morning to follow your own interests. In the afternoon we have a guided tour to the Summer Palace and a visit to the Peking opera.
Day 14 Beijing (B,L)
Day excursion to The Great Wall of China and the Ming Tombs, including the Sacred Way.
Great Wall of China is the longest structure ever built. It is about 4,000 miles long, and it was built entirely by hand. About 1, 200 - 1, 500 miles of the Great Wall were built during the reign of Emperor Shi Huangdi (Qin Dynasty). The Great Wall crosses northern China from the east coast to the central part of China.
Day 15 Beijing / Departure (B)
Transfer via: by air-own arrangement
Transfer to Beijing airport for your flight back to your sweet home.
