Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrival / Hong Kong
Transfer via: International flight-own arrangement
Pickup by our driver and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 Hong Kong (B)
Free time for a whole day.
Day 3 Hong Kong / Guilin (B)
Transfer via: evening flight
Transfer by our company coach (without tour guide) to airport for flight to Guilin. Pickup in Guilin by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to the hotel.
Day 4 Guilin / Yangshuo (B,L)
After the breakfast you take company coach to Dock. You will start your Li River Cruise from here. The total Journey is around 30 Kilometers and takes 4 hours. On the way you will see the most beautiful landscapes and pass throw the local villages.
Later this day you will arrive at Yangshuo. You can also choose to stay in the town, stroll around the local market, witness the daily activities of local society. Or you might enjoy a class for Chinese Tachi in Yangshuo at sunset.
Yangshuo, the natural scenery features unique karst hills, crystal water, exquisite stones and intricate caves as well as a cultural historic heritage and folks of diverse customs. At night, have fun on the West Street, don't drink too much to miss tomorrow's program.
Day 5 Yangshuo / Longji (B,L,D)
From 6:30 to 9:00 am, cycle for 2 hours from Yangshuo to Aishan Village in the early morning, you will arrive at the Licun village and then you continue you bike ride on the trails to Yangshuo. After a hot shower in the hotel, you will be transfer by company vehicle to take bamboo rafting for two hours on Yulong River through limestone mountains and trails.
Later today you will be transferred to Longji Dragon Backbone Rice Terrace, visit Longji Mountain Village, about 3 hours driving on road, stroll around the village. Stay in the mountain village overnight.
Longsheng is famous for the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces: 60square kilometers of terraced rice fields southeast of Longsheng. They were first built in the Yuan dynasty and completed in the Qing dynasty by Zhuang people. The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop, with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m.
Day 6 Longji / Guilin (B,L,D)
Transfer to Guilin by road. Visit Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill. Take evening cruise on Li River and surrounding lakes.
Visit the Reed Flute Cave. Aside ten minutes drive (half hour bike ride) from downtown, the cave is one of the largest known examples of what each tropical karst cone conceals within it. The script writers and set designers for Star Trek would have a field day in this cavernous underground stalactite/stalagmite maze-style theater. The dropping water is rich and the dripstones are not only in various types but also in big size, displaying a wonderful cave world. This cave was called "The Art Gallery of Mother Nature". Colored fluorescent lights which cast shadows and illuminate shapes of imaginary animals, fruits and vegetables complete the unworldly effect.
Following with Elephant Trunk Hill. It is located on the west bank of the Li River by a small branch called Peach blossom Rive.
Day 7 Guilin / Kunming (B,L,D)
Transfer via: morning flight
Fly to Kunming. Upon arrival, be met & transferred to your hotel in Yunnan Stone Forest, about 90 km from Downtown Kunming. Stay overnight in the hotel near the Stone Forest.
Day 8 Kunming / Dali (B,L,D)
Transfer via: morning flight
Morning tour to Stone Forest. Transfer to Dali by air. Visit Three Pagodas, and the old town, the Ancient Wall Gate, have dinnier at an old traditional restaurant called "Plum Well".
Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Stone Forest while the crowd of visitors do not disturb you. The Stone forest is so unique, which you can not find in other place of the world. Stone Forest, covering 350 square kilometers, is the highest karst terrain in the world and a national scenic area in China.
Three Pagodas:are located northwest of Dali at the foot Cangshan Mountains. With Qianxun Pagoda, completed in 876 during the Tang dynasty (618-907AD).
Day 9 Dali / Lijiang (B, L)
Morning visit of a small Catholic church in old town of Dali, drive to Xizhou Morning Market & the typical living house of Bai Minority. enjoy the tea ceremony of Bai Ethnic, take as more pictures of the colorful costumes of Bai Ethics, listening to their stories...Drive to Lijiang after lunch.
Xizhou House: live Bai minority people. You will see the their typical traditions, dresses there.
Day 10 Lijiang / Daju (B,L,D)
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yak Meadow, the old house of Joseph Rock, who stayed in Lijiang for 27 years from 1922 to 1949. Stay overnight at the local village of Daju Town.
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The mountain has 13 peaks of which the highest is 18000 feet above sea level. It is a treasure of wild plants and rare animals.
Joseph Rock: lived in a village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain for 27 years from 1922 to 1949, left us thousands of photoes and articles of the culture in this area.
Day 11 Daju / Tiger Leaping Gorge (B,L,D)
Start your hikking trip from Daju Town, and your hiking tour starts here. Visit the famous Middle and Uper Tiger Leaping Gorge, the toal hiking journey today is 36 km.
Tiger Leaping Gorge: one of the world's four great gorges - is located in Hutiaoxia Town in Zhongdian County,is honored as one of the deepest and most marvelous gorges on the globe.
Walk down the mountain through trails for 2 km (about 1 hour) to a small ferry, cross the river by boat, climb up 3.5 km for 2 hours and arrive Yongke Village which is located at Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge, continue your walk after a simple lunch break.
After lunch, 1 more hour walking down the steep cliff to the bank of Jinsha River, worship the dangerours shoal of "Starriness", it is the most narrow part of the gorge, where a tiger can easily jump over the Jinsha River. 1 more hour to climb up the mountain.
Day 12 Lijiang (B,L)
Drive to Lijiang, visit Mu Prince Mansion, Three Wells, enjoy your free time at old town of Lijiang.
Day 13 Lijiang / Chengdu (B,D)
Transfer via: afternoon flight
Free time to walk around until to be transfer to airport for flight to Chengdu. Enjoy Sichuan Opera at a local tea house in the evening.
Day 14 Chengdu (B,L,D)
Visit Panda House in the early morning, drive to Leshan to see Giant Buddha, back to Chengdu for vegeterian dinner at famous Wenshu Monastery.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is situated on the Axe Hill 10 kilometers from the north suburb of Chengdu City. There are 43 giant pandas and tens of specious animals such as red pandas and black-necked cranes.
Leshan Giant Buddha is the largest Buddha in the world, about 71 meters high. It started to be carved in 713 A.D and finished 90 years later.
Wenshu Monastery (wenshu yuan), this Buddhist monastery in central Chengdu is dedicated to the God of Wisdom - Wenshu and was founded during the Tang dynasty (618-907AD). Most of the buildings date back to the 17th century and today Wenshu Monastery is the largest temple in Chengdu.
Day 15 Chengdu / Chongqing / Yangtze River Cruise (B,L,D)
Transfer via: morning flight
Fly to Chongqing. Tours to Erling Park, People's Hall of Chongqing, Stiwell Musuem and Ciqikou ancient town; take Yangtze River Cable Car. Get on board on Yangtze Cruise Ship. Departs Chongqing at 22:30.
Erling Park: Where tourists can take a bird's eye view of the whole city of Chongqing.
Stiwell Musuem: It is a museum to commemorate General Stiwell during The World War Two.
Ciqikou: It is an old town with traditional Chongqing style buildings,tea houses,and Sichuan Opera houses.
Day 16 Yangtze River Cruise (B,L,D)
Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City or New Wanxian County (09h00-11h00).
Day 17 Yangtze River Cruise (B,L,D)
Shore excursion to Shennong Stream (12h00-16h00).
Day 18 Yangtze River Cruise / Yichang / Shanghai (B,L)
Transfer via: afternoon flight
Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site(07h30-10h00). Arrives in Yichang at 11h45. Transfer to Yichang airport for flight to Shanghai. Enjoy famous Shanghai Acrobats at night.
Day 19 Shanghai (B,L)
Morning tour to Yu Garden, Yu Market, lunch at a local restaurant in the Old Town; after lunch visit to the Bund, then free time in the Nanjing Pedestrian Road. Visit to the Oriental TV Tower.
Yu Garden. This delightfully restored labyrinth of tiny specialty shops, tea and snack houses centered around a Ming - dynasty mandarin Suzhou-style garden is a fascinating spot to people-watch over a pot of tea, to shop for unique souvenirs and to get a feel for Old Shanghai. It is well worth a meander through the Yu Garden, which has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools and flora, all connected by corridors and passageways.
Visit The Bund. Have a stroll along the waterfront to experience the smells, sights and sounds of the old "Wall Street" in Shanghai. Banks, trading houses, residences, hotels and clubs all had a view of bustling Huangpu River traffic as they shared in the city's rising and falling fortunes. Then walking along the famous shopping street-Nanjing Road.
Day 20 Shanghai / Suzhou (B,L)
Transfer via: by train for soft seat
Be transferred to the railway station fo your train to Suzhou. Arrive at Suzhou. Be met & have a cruise on the Grand Canal, then visit the Pan Gate, Lingering Garden, The No.1 Silk Factory. Stay overnight in Suzhou.
Grand Canal: The Grand Canal ranks alongside the Great Wall of China as the country's greatest engineering achievement and it is the longest man-made waterway in world. Cruising on the Canal, you can see the local people's life.
Pan Gate: Pan Gate is an ancient city gate with land and water entrances. One gate with land and water entrances was quite typical in ancient China. Pan Gate is the only one left.
The Lingering Garden: Shouzhou is famouse for its the Gardens. Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Linging in the garden you would marver this unique architecture art.
The No.1 Silk Factory: Suzhou is also famous for its silk production. In the factory you can see how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth.
Day 21 Suzhou / Shanghai (B,L)
Transfer via: by train for soft seat
Morning tour to the Jade Buddha Temple (09h00/10h00); visit to the Shanghai Museum (10h30/12h00) before lunch at a local restaurant; after lunch, visit to the French Concession. Free at leisure for the remainder of the afternoon. Visit to the Xiang Yang Market is suggested for the free time.
Jade Buddha Temple was built in 1882 after Hui Gen, a monk from Putuo Mountain, brought back two jade Buddhist statues from Burma. In the temple, there are several grandiose halls housing one 1.9-meter-high jade sitting statue of Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism.
Visit the Shanghai Museum.As a museum of ancient Chinese art, Shanghai Museum possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art. Its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy is specially celebrated in the world. The present Shanghai Museum has eleven galleries and three special temporary exhibition halls.
Day 22 Shanghai / Depart (B)
