Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrivial / Beijing
Upon Arriving Beijing, be met and transferred to your hotel with private car and English speaking tour guide.
Day 2 Beijing / Chengde (B,L)
Transfer via: by morning train
Be met & transferred to train station for the train to Chengde, a historic mountain resort, 250km, northeast of Beijing. In the afternoon, visit Summer Resort in the afternoon.
Summer Resort was an imperial summer garden for Emperors of the Qing Dynasty. There are some stone bridges in the garden, such as: Shuixie Bridge, which is a stone beam bridge with a waterside pavilion built on the floor.
Day 3 Chengde / Beijing (B,L)
Transfer via: afternoon train
Visit Puning Temple, and another Putongzongcheng Temple. Be transferred to railway station, take the train back to Beijing. Upon arrival Beijing, be met & transferred to your hotel.
Putuozongcheng Temple: The temple is patterned after Potala Palace of Lhasa. It is also called the Lesser Potala Palace.
Day 4 Beijing (B,L)
City tour to Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace. Evening Peking opera Performance.
Tian'anmen Square, the symbolical heart of China and gathering place for the masses. It is the biggest public square in the world, which can hold one million people. Having a free walk there, imagining the great historic events of the 20th century took place there. You will also see legendary landmarks including the Great Hall of the People and the towering 125 foot granite obelisk, Monument to the Peoples Heroes, honoring those who died in revolution.
Walking across the Golden River Bridge, enter the Forbidden City, the inner sanctum and palace where for centuries Chinese emperors ruled their world. It has 9000-room maze of courtyards, places, and ceremonial halls, where 24 emperors used to live. Forbidden City was indeed a forbidden place, where commoners were kept out for nearly 500 years in the past. Tour the palace and imagine the mystery, intrigue and incredible power that reigned here.
Temple of Heaven was built in the 15th century, a sacred site for ancient Beijing, where the emperor and his 1000 member entourage would retreat twice a year for religious ritual. Surrounded by enormous grounds designed in accordance with fengshshui, the Temple complex consists of the Celebrated Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, a unique wooden and blue-tiled structure built without a nail. It is considered the supreme achievement of traditional Chinese architecture
Day 5 Beijing (B,L)
Full day trip to the Great Wall and Ming Tomb and Sacred road. Have a famous Peking Duck Banquet for dinner.
The Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China.
The Ming Tombs : The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty. The way guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceSacred Wayremony for the ancestors.
Day 6 Beijing (B,L)
Visit Hutongs by rickshaw.
Hutong Tour: The old narrow paths where common people lived. All the Hutongs crisscross with each other, dotted with the Kindergarten, the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Tea House, the lake, House of Gong Infant and local people's houses among them.
Day 7 Beijing / Lhasa (B)
Transfer via: am flight
Be met & transferred to airport, take the flight to Lhasa Transfers from the airport to the hotel.
Arriving at Lhasa Gongar Airport, be met and transferred to your hotel. Take a rest to acclimatize yourself to the high latitude.
Day 8 Lhasa (B,L)
Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhore Street.
The Potala Palace: Perched upon the Marpo Ri Hill, 130 meters above the Lhasa valley, it is the greatest monumental structure in Tibet.
The Jokhang Temple: It is the spiritual center of Tibet.
The Barkhor Street: The Barkhor is the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the center of old Lhasa and remains very traditional. It is a place where Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble.
Day 9 Lhasa (B,L)
Tsepung Monastery and Norbulingka.
The Tsepung Monastery: It is one of the biggest monasteries in Tibet.
The Norbulingka Park: Norbulingka means "Jeweled Garden". It was constructed as a summer palace for the Dalai Lama and later served as the whole governmental administration.
Day 10 Lhasa / Xi'an (B)
Transfer via: by flight
Flight to Xi'an, ancient capital for 11 centuries, and the ancient gateway to the Silk Road full of Chinese legend. Leisure on your own at the rest of the day.
Day 11 Xi'an (B,L)
Xi'an's rich history comes alive on a visit to the greatest archaeological finding of the century: the army of Terra-Cotta Warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb. Other monuments on your tour include Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Bell Tower.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.
The Bell Tower: The emblem of Xi'an city.
Day 12 Xian / Luoyang (B,L)
Transfer via: am train
You are arranged to visit the Provincial Museum, the Huaqing Hot Springs and the City Wall. Later in the afternoon, be transferred to the airport for the flight to Luoyang. Upon arrival Luoyang, be met & transferred to your hotel.
The Provincial Museum: One of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China.
The City Wall: An extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history.
Huaqing Hot Springs: For centuries emperors had come here to bathe and enjoy the scenic beauty, and it has been a favorite spa since the Tang dynasty.
Day 13 Luoyang to Zhengzhou (B,L)
Visit Shaolin Temple, Longmen Grottoes. Be transferred to Zhengzhou, stay tonight in Zhengzhou.
Shaolin Temple: The cradle of Chinese Kong Fu.
Longmen Grottoes: More than 100,000 images and statues of Buddha and his disciples were carved into the cliff walls on the banks of the Yi River, 16km south of the city in 494 AD.
Day 14 Zhengzhou to beijing/other city (B)
Transfer via: by flight
Be transferred to airport, take the flight to Beijing, connect the flight for back home.
