5 Days cycle tour in Guilin

Dear Billy,  Thank you so much for organizing such a wonderful tour for us, we so enjoyed being with Bobby as a guide and very helpful companion. We have a much better understanding of the Chinese way of life and now I really wish to study Chinese art and culture further. I will also need to improve my language!!

One of the highlights was meeting your very talented family. It was especially interesting for me to understand a Chinese family better as I teach a number of Chinese students. The whole family was so welcoming and very friendly. Your father -in -law is a gifted painter who has such skill and economy of line. It will be a great dilemma for your niece as she is talented in both Painting and Piano choosing, which to specialise in.

The Guilin landscape is truly beautiful and it is so fertile. It is also filled with history as people have lived along the river for a very longtime. It was very interesting to see how intensively the farmers worked and that the crops go right up to the road. There were also no fences. We loved the water buffalo- Bobby will tell you that we had to stop and look at everyone!

This is a short note as I am back teaching at school and I would very much like to keep in touch. Alan and I will send some photographs of our house and where we live, so you will be tempted to visit us.
